Mr Mark's Music Time World
Mr Mark's Music Time World is a children's education series teaching
pre-school children about music. Fronted by Mark Hooper and Mu, each episode
focuses on a musical instrument. Mark has been giving his workshops in schools
and educational establishments for 12 years. Expanding into television seemed
the logical next step and so far there are two pilot episodes.
Jonny from Up at the Big House
designed the Mu character to act as co-host for the series. His wide eyes and
natural curiosity makes him an excellent means of reflecting the audiences questions.
The series
takes place in Mr Mark's Music Time world, but frequently the music will inspire
Mu's imagination and take him on fantastic journeys. It is these sequences that
allow the use of other techniques, including animation, rotoscoping and puppetry.
